Which Is Better: Winter or Summer?

Summer is almost here! It’s a time for swimming, camping, and family trips. Fun in the sun can also be good for your health. Your body makes more vitamin D when you’re in the sun. That helps keep your bones and teeth strong.

But many people prefer colder winter weather. They say it’s easier to keep warm by wearing more clothes than it is to cool down in the heat. Plus, you’re less likely to get a sunburn when you’re bundled up. And studies have found that some people think more clearly in cooler temperatures.

Here’s what two of our readers say.

It’s exciting to get snow days off from school. You can build snowmen, have snowball fights, and go sledding. I also like winter best because I feel healthier. During other seasons, my allergies are really bad because of the pollen in the air.

Plus, studies show that people’s sleep improves when it’s cold. For me, nothing feels better than getting a good night’s rest after playing in the snow.

Summer is a time to relax and take a break from the stress of the school year. You have more freedom in your schedule for different activities. You can have picnics or go on vacation!

The weather is also perfect for exercising outside. I enjoy feeling the sun’s warmth while biking, hiking, or going to the beach. Also, experts say that sunshine can help improve people’s moods.
