Don’t Look Down!
Do you have a fear of heights? If so, you might want to avoid a new bridge in the European country of Portugal.
The 516 Arouca is 1,692 feet long! That’s the length of four-and-a-half football fields. It’s the longest footbridge of its kind in the world. The floor is a see-through metal grid. People who cross it can see straight down to a river 570 feet below.
Though the bridge is held up by sturdy steel cables, people can still feel it wobble with every step!
