Scientists have finally found a millipede that lives up to its name. The word millipede comes from two Latin words that mean “thousand” and “foot.” But the most legs ever counted on a millipede were 750—until now.
The first true millipede has been spotted in Australia. It has 1,306 legs! That’s more legs than any other known creature on Earth.
