Slurp! Chameleons (kuh-MEEL-yuns) like this one give new meaning to the phrase “fast food.” These reptiles have super-speedy tongues that can be longer than their bodies. When a chameleon spots a cricket, grasshopper, or other insect, it can stick out its tongue faster than a sports car zips down the highway. It catches the bug, then pulls dinner into its mouth.
