You should be very proud of how you handled this year—we definitely are!
As You Read: Look for ways that kids and teachers made the best out of this tough year.
Congratulations! You’ve made it through one of the toughest—and weirdest—school years in history. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, most of you spent at least part of the year learning from home. You found creative online ways to practice math problems, take spelling tests, and go on field trips!
Mental health experts say that students and teachers demonstrated something called resilience. “Resilience is putting one foot in front of the other,” says expert Janine Domingues. “The situation might not be ideal, but you’re making it work.”
We talked to classes all over the U.S. to learn about your experiences. Here’s what we found out.
Congratulations! You’ve made it through one of the toughest—and weirdest—school years in history. It was a full school year affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of you spent at least part of the year learning from home. You found creative ways to practice math problems and take spelling tests. You even went on field trips online!
