Chances are you hate getting shots. But what if a shot could give you an amazing superpower?

Scientists in the U.S. and China invented a shot that gives night vision to mice. It contains special particles that boost the eye's ability to see in the dark. The scientists hope it could work on people one day.

If so, this invention would be a big help to emergency workers and soldiers. They wouldn’t need to carry around heavy night vision goggles.

So far, the shot lasts up to 10 weeks in mice. But this power comes at a cost. To see with this type of night vision, humans would have to get this shot directly into their eyeballs. Yikes!
